Billie Eilish has announced that climate-focused event, Overheated, will coincide with the UK and Ireland leg of her Happier Than Ever world tour. Overheated will run for 6 days, namely 10-12, 16 and 25-26 June.
Overheated climate discussions
Overheated will be the perfect space for climate activists, musicians and designers to come together in venues across the 02 to talk about climate-related issues as well as the work they are doing to make a difference. Topics of discussion will be those such as developing greening practices in the music industry, the benefits of a plant-based diet and sustainable fashion.
Eilish and her brother, Finneas, will be giving intros during the event on 10 June with special keynote speakers still set to be confirmed.
Event charitable donations
Profits from Overheated ticket sales will be donated to Support + Feed as well as REVERB.
Set up by the singer’s mother, Maggie Baird and in collaboration with a series of vegan restaurants, Support + Feed is there to help those that have been most affected by the global pandemic. Its mission is to take action for a global shift towards an equitable, plant-based food system in a bid to overcome food insecurities as well as the climate crisis.
On the Overheated event, Baird commented: “We are thrilled to be in London and to have this opportunity to connect and discuss different ways we can take action to mitigate the climate crisis.”
