Celebrities join forces to invest in vegan seafood brand

A-listers, including Woody Harrelson and Shailene Woodley, have invested in vegan seafood brand Good Catch founded by vegan chefs Chad and Derek Sarno.

According to their website, Good Catch believes plant-based foods can help the world, preserve the ocean, and treat its inhabitants with kindness. Their aim is to make plant-based foods for everyone. The brand has sparked an interest with many stars who also follow a vegan diet.

Woody Harrelson has been on a vegan diet for over 30 years and is also a passionate environmentalist and animal activist, while American actress Shailene Woodley thrives on living a natural lifestyle and living on organic foods. Other celebrities to join in on the investments are Lance Bass and Paris Hilton.

As well as their line of plant-based tuna, Good Catch will also be releasing a line of frozen entrées and appetisers of vegan fish burgers and fish cakes. The tuna made with a six-legume blend of peas, chickpeas, lentils, soy, fava beans and navy beans, which gives the tuna its texture and the flaky resemblance of seafood and a source of protein; while the algae oil provides the fish with its seafood flavour and omega-3s. The ultimate aim is to offer a diverse range of vegan seafood to totally negate the need for any non plant-based alternatives.
