In a statement sent to The Vegan Review, Jasmine Wythe, Peabodys’ marketing manager, said:
“As veganism becomes more popular, it felt essential to able to offer the most exciting and delicious plant-based options possible. Which would enjoyed by everyone regardless of their dietary preferences.
“We see veganism as an opportunity to be more creative with our new products. And are always on the lookout for new flavors and ingredients to bring to our coffee shops,” she added.
Wythe also revealed that the latest launch is the first of three vegan frappés that are set to be released this summer, with the next drinks to be Banoffee and Mocha.
This is all part of the company’s initiative to be more sustainable and inclusive.
However, this is not the first vegan option to find in Peabodys. As it offers a wide range of vegan foods, including Italian ciabattas, fresh artisan pasta, salads, sandwiches, and cakes.
Many drink companies have introduced vegan coffees to their menu, with Starbucks debuting two dairy-free cold brews and a breakfast sandwich made from Impossible Foods’ meat-free patties to its US menu. The company also unveiled a dairy-free guava passionfruit drink on its summer menu.
