Using an almond-based blend, Klimon believes it has captured the perfect texture and creaminess of traditional dairy ice cream. BUT without the dairy.
Alex Cotraviwat, CEO and Founder of Jaback Group (the developer of the KLIMON brand), commented: “We are so proud to be partnering with Walmart for the launch of our brand, and to continue to leave our mark on the plant-based food revolution.”
Choice of flavours
Picking up on favourite flavours, the choice of dairy-free frozen dessert comes in; Morning Brew, a coffee flavour with real almonds and fudge swirls; Caramel Brûlée, salted caramel with chocolate cookie crumbs and caramelised sugar swirls; Cherry Bomb, cherry flavour with real Bordeaux cherry chunks and swirls; Mint Condition, a mint flavoured dessert with mini chocolate chips and fudge swirls and Sunrise Bang, a creamy orange flavour dessert with cream flavoured swirls.
Klimon developed a range of almond-based, dairy-free frozen desserts that aim to help consumers believe they are eating traditional ice cream. It stands by the moto, “No Dairy. No Difference!” tackling the market and keeping those in mind who want to eat ethically and sustainably.
Popularity of vegan ice cream
The popularity of vegan and plant-based ice creams has been steadily on the rise for many years now. With Ben & Jerry’s initiating a dairy free launch to highlight global climate change two years ago, other companies have been quick to up their game. Originally just offering a, let’s face it, pretty boring range of flavours, thankfully companies have taken the hint and now offer many of their most popular flavours in vegan and plant based form too.
