LowKal: Making dieting easier and more exciting

Latest News

With UK diabetes cases on the rise, putting more at risk of Covid-19, food company LowKal has launched a range of healthy snacks that can be delivered straight to your door.

NHS reports released in 2020 show a majority of the UK adult population are classified as obese. Those with an unhealthy BMI or type-2 diabetes are at a higher risk of facing complications if diagnosed with Covid-19. But with lockdown putting many out of work, and in difficult relationship situations, binge-eating and unhealthy snack consumption has continuously been on the rise.

LowKal was launched amidst the pandemic to change this. It provides snacks that taste as delicious as the usual treats, but contain less calories, sugar, and saturated fats. To ensure it is accessible to those with fast-paced lives; the company pre-packages and delivers everything straight to your home.

Founded by Alice and Andrew Hall, LowKal is the answer to their search for healthy snacks as busy entrepreneurs. They stated: “We built LowKal to make healthy eating easier. When you lead a busy life, whether you’re a business owner, a parent, or simply have too much on, it can be easy to pick up an unhealthy snack from the shop because you’re in a rush. LowKal means you can be prepared for the week ahead, so you don’t have to run into the shop and pick up a packet of crisps just to get you through the afternoon. Preparation is often key when you’re trying to stick to a healthy diet.”

LowKal is just one of three brands that the couple has founded in their recent venture, Rowen Group, which has also seen the launch of Allergybox and Rowen Homes. All three businesses began during the coronavirus lockdown.

The company ensures to cover all dietary requirements, so customers can shop with a range of flexibility. With economic options for vegans, gluten-free, keto, and diabetics; LowKal brings flavor-packed snacks to your home without completely emptying your wallet. And very soon, this will be available as a subscription. That you can be sure to never run out of snacks again.
