VegFest founders to launch vegan marketplace

A new online store is going to be popping up thanks to Kendra Arnold and Marisa Sweeney, co-founders of New Jersey VegFest. The online vegan marketplace called The Vegan Local will feature the most popular vegan foods such as The Freakin’ Vegan Mac-n-Cheese, Blackbird pizza, Yeah Dawg root vegetable hot dogs, and many more.

Marisa, one of the founders of New Jersey VegFest, told VegOut New York, “The Vegan Local is an extension of our mission at the New Jersey VegFest, which is to promote local plant-based and vegan small businesses. These small businesses are working at the ground level to grow the plant-based movement in our communities by making eco-friendly and cruelty-free options more available, and plant-based living more feasible. Although we intend to continue the NJ VegFest events in the future, we have pivoted our efforts to The Vegan Local, an online vegan specialty market. People who visit the online market will be able to search by their location to see what products are created local to them, or get vegan food and lifestyle products shipped to them from over state lines.”

The Vegan Local features a variety of vegan brands providing made-to-order plant-based food. The online market will also feature not only food but also locally-made clothing and fashion lines, beauty and skincare products, art and craft supplies, and even products for your pets! All plant-based. Now, more than ever, it will be easy for those living either a plant-based or fully vegan life to shop with confidence and without constantly checking labels. The online vegan marketplace will open on May 31st.
