Latest News

Starbucks announced they will be adding a new dairy-free summer drink to its menu. The Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink is mixed with coconut milk and is the company’s latest non-dairy drink.

This new dairy-free summer drink will be joining the coffee chain’s summer menu after a huge success of its also colorful Pineapple Matcha and Golden Ginger non-dairy drinks.

The company is moving towards implementing new services as its stores gradually reopen in the midst of the current coronavirus pandemic. Starbucks now delivers nationwide with contactless delivery, and customers can order and pay through the Starbucks app to avoid touching possibly infected bills. All these services will let customers be able to get their coffee orders without leaving their houses.

During the pandemic Starbucks made moves to protect their employees both health wise and financially. On March 21, Starbucks closed all its US locations that did not have drive-thru options and moved strictly to a delivery or drive-thru model.

Also in March, Business Insider reported that Starbucks would pay workers for the next 30 days whether they worked or not. In addition to paying employees if they show up to work or not, the company is also offering catastrophe pay, mental health, sick pay benefits, and childcare support.

85% of the company’s storefronts have reopened since the lockdown measures are slowly begun lifted. Starbucks say they plan to have 90% of their stores in the US reopen by June and follow updated safety codes that especially focus on cleaning and sanitizing.
