Calling all Canadian vegans near Victoria who want to MeeT up for some food! This article is for you…
The former Boston Pizza location on Hillside Avenue in Victoria has a new tenant and we’re pleased to say, it’s a vegan one! Vancouver-based vegan restaurant, MeeT, which currently already sits in three locations in the city, will open its first Vancouver Island venue in the Boston Pizza site.
Jason Antony, MeeT Co-Owner, commented that the company has been “wanting to be in Victoria for years,” however, previously found locations had fallen through before the pandemic put huge uncertainty on the industry.
MeeT concept
Antony explained that the concept for MeeT is less about veganism itself and more about being a great comfort food restaurant.
He added: “We don’t promote ourselves as a meatless dining establishment. We are a restaurant first. Some people don’t even know we’re vegetarian.”
Victoria was chosen for the next MeeT venue, in part because of the proximity to parking as well as the potential for an outdoor patio space.
At present, the company is hiring for various senior positions at its Victoria home. Take a look, if you fancy a change!
