The Vegan Camp Out is set to return from Friday 15 until Monday 19th July at Stanford Hall in Leicestershire.
This will be the sixth Vegan Camp Out since its humble beginnings in 2016 when just 400 people took part. It featured no stalls or talks, just a gathering of like-minded individuals and one very fortunate food vendor for the entire weekend. It was an inspiring move that allowed people to meet who had previously only communicated online.
However, development was a surety and by 2019, 7,500 attendees were greeted at the campsite and two years later in 2021, as many as 12,000!
This year…who can really tell? But what we do know is that it’s going to be bigger and better than ever.
Are you going to be there?
2022 Vegan Camp Out agenda
As expected, the lineup for the Camp Out is full to the brim with inspiration. We’re set to see the likes of vegan educator and public speaker, Earthling Ed, as well as Actor and Activist, Evanna Lynch. In addition, British reality tv star and entrepreneur, Lucy Watson will be there, along with Gaz Oakley, also known as Avant-Garde Vegan, the cookbook author who collaborated with Wagamama on its well-loved plant-based egg dish.
Presenter and Author, Matt Pritchard, TV personality, Preacher Lawson, VBites founder, Heather Mills and foodies The Happy Pear will also be sharing their vegan knowledge and experiences within the four day event.
Need some fitness inspiration? IFBB’s first pro vegan bodybuilder Nimai Delgado is set to take part. As the founder of Vegan Fitness he will be discussing all things health and wellbeing.
Arenas
The Vegan Camp Out is the perfect place to take the family as it even houses a family area where Primary Veducation will be hosting a number of events and activities for all ages to take part in. Functioning as the UK’s first Teaching and Learning Consultant for vegan inclusive primary schools, they will be engaging with young people through arts and crafts, games, fun activities and face painting.
But you don’t have to join in all the time. If the main arena becomes too much, the family area is a great space to take a bit of time out.
Further announcements on the family area lineup will be made nearer the time so we’ll keep you up to date.
If you’re feeling hungry…(and what vegan doesn’t love food?!)…there will be an undoubtedly popular food area including 45 stalls to keep you fuelled up throughout the long weekend. You’ll be able to meet vendors offering vegan kebabs, curries, burgers and sweet treats such as smoothies, ice cream and cakes. Plus of course, so much more. But we aren’t entirely certain of specific brands yet as Camp Out organisers are keeping it a secret. They know our weaknesses…
